Grab your popcorn and put your detective cap on for revenge thriller full of twists and turns at Tamworth Assembly Rooms

Theatre lovers are invited to Tamworth Assembly Rooms next month for two nights of high-octane drama as a thriller full of twists and turns is guaranteed to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Murder mystery Revenge is set to embark on a national tour and as part of their journey, they will be stopping by Tamworth on Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18.

Directed by the incredible Louise Jameson, who has shows such as Eastenders, Dr Who and Doc Martin under her belt, the play tells the story of MP Bill Crayshaw who leads a charmed life, is hailed in the corridors of Parliament, lauded in business and loved at home – until he returns from a business trip to find his party agent dead.

But the question is – was it a terrible tragic accident? Jealous journalist Mary Stewart doesn’t buy it, turning up to Bill’s house asking awkward questions, leading one to wonder whether his success was founded on murder, corruption, and double-dealing.

Audiences will be left biting their nails wondering how Mary knows so much about his private life or if she is peddling seedy lies, as she seems prepared to reach long lengths to ensure his political, business and personal lives are ruined.

Journalism? Blackmail? Seduction or revenge? Whatever the motive, as the tension mounts and suspense increases, shots ring out and the initial game of cat and mouse turns into a deadly battle, twisting and turning between truth and lies, to reach a thrilling climax that will keep audiences guessing until the final curtain!

Adey Ramsel, Theatre, Artistic and Events Manager, said: “We’re really excited for this incredible production to come to the Assembly Rooms in March as it has everything to make for a fantastic evening of drama and action.
