Exciting festival of drama starts next month in Tamworth
An exciting five-night run of theatre gets underway next month with the 2019 Tamworth Hastilow Drama Festival, featuring a series of one act plays by the region’s best amateur dramatic groups.
Adult and youth theatre companies from Tamworth and the wider area will compete throughout the festival, with up to three plays being performed each night from Tuesday, March 19, to Saturday, March 23.
Performances will be scored by GoDA festival adjudicator Jennifer Scott-Reid and the winners in a variety of categories will progress to the next round of the celebrated All England Theatre Festival.

“This is the ideal opportunity to enjoy a variety of theatre performances by local amateur dramatic groups at a very reasonable price of £6 per ticket each evening.”
The season continues with Tamworth Musical Theatre Company’s production of Annie at the Landau Forte Theatre in Ashby Road from Wednesday, April 17, to Saturday, April 20.
